  • AIDSinfo Drug Database The AIDSInfo Drug Database contains fact sheets on more than 80 HIV/AIDS-related drugs. The fact sheets, in patient, health professional, and Spanish versions, provide information on the drug's use, pharmacology, and side effects. The database also includes approved and investigational antiretroviral drugs as well as drugs used in the treatment of opportunistic infections and cancers.   • Antiretroviral Pregnancy Registry The Registry is a voluntary prospective, exposure-registration, observational study designed to collect and evaluate data on the outcomes of pregnancy exposures to antiretroviral products. It is intended to provide an early signal of any major teratogenic effects associated with a prenatal exposure to the products monitored through the Registry.   • Global AIDS Interfaith Alliance A nonprofit organization that uses African religious networks as a way to distribute antiretroviral drugs to prevent mother-to-child transmission of HIV. n.d.
  • Global Coalition on Women and AIDS An initiative of activists, government representatives, community workers, and celebrities, that seeks to stimulate concrete action to improve the daily lives of women and girls. The coalition focuses on preventing new HIV infections among women and girls, promoting equal access to HIV care and treatment, accelerating microbicides research, protecting women's property and inheritance rights, and reducing violence against women. n.d.
  • Global Strategies for HIV Prevention Implements international strategies to prevent HIV infection through strategic alliances with those who share in a compassion for alleviating the suffering of children. n.d.
  • IAS-CTP Ghent International Working Group on HIV in Women and Children A network of experts in the area of PMTCT. The Ghent Group was set up in 1991 to bring together researchers and policy makers and create an environment in which issues relating to HIV vertical transmission could be discussed, with an emphasis on resource-limited countries. n.d.
  • International Community of Women Living with HIV/AIDS (ICW) An international network run for and by HIV-positive women which aim is to reduce the isolation of women living with HIV/AIDS by exchanging information on health issues, self-help, human rights, and setting up local support networks. n.d.
  • MTCT-Plus Initiative The initiative supports the provision of HIV-specific care, including access to antiretroviral options, to HIV-infected women and children identified in PMTCT programs, and to their HIV-infected family members as appropriate. n.d.
  • Safe Motherhood Inter-Agency Group The Safe Motherhood Inter-Agency Group (IAG) seeks to contribute to improved maternal and newborn survival and well-being by promoting and supporting the implementation of cost-effective interventions in the developing world. n.d.
  • Telemedicine This site is meant to guide physicians and health care workers in the use of antiretroviral therapy and AIDS care delivery in resource-limited settings.   • WHO Department of Gender and Women's Health The Department of Gender and Women's Health is charged with helping WHO's various programs and departments undertake the challenge of integrating gender considerations into their work.
