This online CME activity describes strategies to prevent transmission from mother-to-child for a treatment experienced women. A major challenge facing pregnant women and their infants in the future is maintaining low perinatal transmission rates in the presence of resistant HIV infection. This activity reviews recommendations for treatment and prophylaxis in pregnant women with drug resistance, as well as safety of alternative agents in neonates.
