A comprehensive, evidence-based course on the prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) of HIV for resource-constrained settings. The course was created in 2004 and the English version was updated in 2008. Included in the curriculum are nine modules, complete with slide sets, a participant's manual, trainer's manual, and guidance for those developing national PMTCT training plans and those organizing trainings. [HIV prevention and treatment guidelines change frequently based on clinical research study findings.
